Mary Timms

Mary qualified as a solicitor in 1991 and joined FFW’s Public and Regulatory Law Group in 1999, becoming a partner in 2002.  Before joining the group she worked in litigation.

Mary has wide-ranging experience in work for public bodies, including both advisory work and case preparation for public authorities such as the General Medical Council, Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain and Nursing & Midwifery Council.  She also presents cases.  She sits as a legal adviser for the General Teaching Council, the General Social Care Council and the Actuarial Profession.  She deals with statutory appeals brought against regulatory bodies and Judicial Reviews. 

Mary has been involved in the training of the Committee Members of the General Medical Council, including both medical and lay members and the Legal Assessors.  She has also provided training for the Nursing & Midwifery Council, the General Chiropractic Council, the General Social Care Council, the Actuarial Profession and the Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain.
