Greg Cain

Greg qualified as a solicitor in New Zealand in 1996 and practised there before travelling through Asia on his way to the UK. Greg has worked for two law firms, in-house as an employment lawyer for an internet and telecommunications company, and in the public sector, for both central and local government.

Greg advises employers on all aspects of the employment relationship, and specialises in the areas of business restructurings, TUPE transfers (and, in particular, outsourcings), and the rules applying to recruitment agencies. He spent substantial time working on lengthy discrimination cases while with Southwark Council and, while working in-house, co-ordinated European-wide advice on a major restructuring process. Greg has also worked extensively with clients from both the public and private sectors on post-TUPE transfer contractual harmonisation processes, and on implementing collective redundancies.
