Anna Howard
Anna Howard joined Field Fisher Waterhouse in October 2005 from the anti-trust, competition and trade group of Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer and is an assistant in the Competition and EU Group. Anna has worked on a number of high profile merger investigations at both UK and EU levels including the UK Competition Commission’s investigation of the proposed acquisition of the London Stock Exchange by Deutsche Borse or Euronext and the European Commission’s investigation of the acquisition by Honeywell Inc of Novar plc. Anna also has experience of market investigations, having represented a major UK manufacturer in the UK Competition Commission’s inquiry into the supply of extended warranties on domestic electrical goods. Since joining Field Fisher Waterhouse, Anna has conducted a number of detailed merger control analyses for private multi-national companies and is currently advising a public sector body on the competition law issues arising from the disposal of one of its businesses. Anna has also gained experience in EU and UK public procurement law and is currently involved in the UK’s Identity Cards scheme. |
