Nicholas Thompsell


Nicholas is a corporate/commercial partner.  He qualified as a solicitor in 1985 and joined the firm in 1992, becoming a partner in 1993.  His practice concentrates on advising both the public and the private sector on transactions ranging from corporate re-organisations, partnering arrangements, privatisations to procuremenets of all types and sizes.

He is the author of a chapter on business structures in Sweet & Maxwell’s Working with Technology.

Nicholas’ experience includes advising HM Treasury on all aspects of the outsourcing arrangements for the establishment of the Government Procurement Card.  In addition Nicholas advised UKPS on its procurement contract to allow for the inclusion of biometric information encoded on electronic chips within passports.  Nicholas has also advised the Office of Government Commerce on the re-letting of a contract for the publishing of its extensive range of books and other publications including digital and online publications and advised OGC.buying solutions on its framework agreements for the provision of telecommunications and (separately) the provision of interim management services across government.
