Mark Sellers

Mark is a commercial property partner in our Real Estate Group. He qualified as a solicitor in 1988, and became a partner in the firm in 1998.

His practice involves advising many public sector bodies on the issues arising from the management and development of their property portfolios.  Matters on which he advises public sector clients include: property acquisitions and disposals, property development, securing overage payments on property matters and the property aspects of compulsory purchase.

Mark’s public sector clients include BRB (Residuary) Limited; Department for Education and Skills; Learning and Skills Council and Transport for London/LUL.

His recent experience includes advising the UK Passport Service (UKPS) on its contract with property company, Mapeley, to provide and manage 69 new satellite offices and 11 training centres throughout the UK.  He also advised on the property aspects of the commercialisation of the Forensic Science Service. Mark was required to advise on whether the proposed site sharing arrangements could be accommodated within the terms of pre-existing leases.  In addition, Mark played a key roll in setting up the site sharing arrangements for TFL both in relation to office premises but also in relation to key operational sites such as Bus Stations, and Bus Stand Licences.
