Graeme Nuttall

Graeme is dual qualified as a solicitor (in 1984) and chartered tax adviser (in 1985).  He became a partner at FFW in 1988. He is also Managing Director of Equity Incentives Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of FFW which specialises in advice on equity incentive arrangements for employees.

Graeme is recognised as a leading expert on the taxation of employee benefits and equity and quasi equity based incentives.  He also advises on other aspects of tax law including the taxation of charities.  The clients that he has advised include London Regional Transport, the Department for International Development, the General Medical Council, the General Dental Council, the General Chiropractic Council, John Lewis Plc and HSBC.

Graeme has been involved in developing share ownership legislation in a number of countries and was appointed by HM Treasury as a member of the Employee Ownership Advisory Group.  This was established by the Chancellor of the Exchequer to work with the Inland Revenue to develop new share plans such as the recently introduced new all-employee share ownership plan and the enterprise management incentives arrangement.  He recently drafted a Private Member's Bill which received Government support and has been enacted as the Employee Share Schemes Act 2002.
