Belinda Benney

Belinda is head of the Pensions Group and handles a full range of pensions work for public and private sector clients.

The Legal 500 states “Field Fisher Waterhouse benefits from the consistently praised Belinda Benney”. Belinda is a frequent speaker on the pensions lecture circuit. She was appointed as a part-time member of Occupational Pensions Regulatory Authority for a four-year term in April 2000.

Belinda is also a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Pensions Sub-Committee. Belinda is the author of “A Guide to the Pensions Act 1995” (Butterworths, 1995) and the pensions chapter in the practitioners’ manual, “Administration of Estates” (Tolleys, 1997, 2001 and 2003).

Belinda has wide range of experience as a pensions specialist including contentious and non-contentious work, advice to trustees, employers and senior individuals, drafting, litigation, corporate transactions and the employment contract aspects of pensions provision.  Her clients include Electricity Pensions Trustee Limited, the National Association of Pension Funds and the General Medical Council and Belinda has worked on the pensions aspects of transactions for the Home Office, the Foreign and Commonwealth Office and HM Treasury.
